The Fresno County Probation Department is an active member criminal justice system that service the people and courts in our county. Fresno Probation Officers supervise just under 20,000 adult and juvenile offenders on court-ordered probation or are in other diversion programs. Fresno County Probation Officers also serve an investigative role for the courts, by producing sentencing reports and recommendations. Fresno County Probation Officers serve in schools, diversionary programs, and specialized units work with other police agencies in programs like the Multi-Agency Gang Task Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) to reduce gang-related crime, and in the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) to help in the fight against drugs. 
Our Crime Victims Assistance Center was the first in the State to start offering assistants to those affected by crimes. The Crime Victim Advocates give services to those affected in elder/dependent abuse crimes, sexual assault,child abuse, domestic violence, homicide, property crimes, and many more crime types. The Victim Advocates give aid to victims and witnesses in overcoming the effects of crime and empowers them to participate in the criminal justice system. Fresno County Probation operates the Juvenile Justice Campus (JJC), that has gained us nation-wide attention, for providing probation staff with a Multitude of new resources to provide minors with structure and security that will enhance our mission to impact their lives in a positive manner.
