Internationally acclaimed artist Pablo Helguera (b. 1971, Mexico City) will visit Fresno to celebrate the arrival of his project Librería Donceles to The Central Valley.
This traveling bookshop composed of more than 8,000 Spanish-language books will have its new temporary home at Arte Américas, opening its doors to the public on June 21st.
Join us June 21st from 5-8pm for our opening celebration in which the artist Pablo Helguera will take us on a journey through the labyrinth of Spanish-language literature, while celebrating old books, music in Spanish, and the joy of discovery!
*Librería Donceles is a socially engaged art project created out of a desire to address the lack of Spanish bookstores that serve the growing Hispanic and Latinx communities in the United States.
