🇦🇲 Celebrate Armenian Cultural Heritage Month in Downtown Fresno!

Join the Armenian Museum of Fresno on Thursday, October 1, from 5–8 p.m. as we kick off Armenian Cultural Heritage Month with an evening of art, traditional Armenian dress, live dance, music, food and wine at ZARTONK Gallery and Mariposa Plaza on Fulton Street.

Visiting from Yerevan, Armenia, Lilit Melikyan, artist, designer and director of the Teryan Cultural Center, will present traditional Armenian national garments modeled by Armenian dancers. Performances will take place in Mariposa Plaza at 5:45, 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. — and everyone is invited to join in the dancing!

Then follow the dancers to ZARTONK Gallery for the opening reception of "Landscape Memories," an immersive art installation by Hazel Antaramian Hofman exploring migration, cultural memory and the connection between homeland and diaspora.

Guests can also enjoy Armenian mezza and a special presentation of wines representing historic grape varieties from Artsakh, including the indigenous red grape Khndoghni.

This celebration launches a full month of special programs honoring Armenian art, history, heritage and contemporary culture — all during the 25th anniversary year of the Armenian Museum of Fresno.
