Venue: Fulton Mall
Presented by Mid Valley Disposal
2012 Theme: Father Christmas
"Santa Claus" has taken many forms through the years and around the world.
Explore this legend and show us who Santa is to you!
This annual holiday tradition enjoyed a rebirth in 2011 with a brand new route which will return this year. The Parade steps off at Merced/Fulton Mall at 11am and proceeds South down the Fulton Mall ~ past the Downtown Fresno Ice Rink and turns East at Kern Street and finishes at Kern and "N" Street.
If you can't be there, watch live on KSEE24!
There were some fantastic floats in the Downtown Fresno Christmas Parade, and we'd like to announce the winners for the most stand-out, well done entries.
The grand prize for the best overall parade entry goes to Caporales de Fresno.
The float that best represented the Father Christmas Theme, with their 49 Days of Christmas was the The Niner Empire of Fresno.
The best marching band came from Kerman High School.
The best performance was by Fresno High School Pep and Cheer.
The best float by Save Mart had us all carried away with their larger than life shopping cart.
And honorable mentions go out to Tehran Shriners of Fresno, The Dazzling Diamondette Marching Baton Corp of Fresno and Fresno Arts Council.
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered and attended!
We greatly appreciate all of the support of our 2012 Parade sponsors:
