WE BELIEVE IN A
DIFFERENT WAY
OF DOING BUSINESS.

Since July 1, 2013, the day we opened Bitwise Mural District, we’ve established and expanded the three key areas where the Central Valley’s tech scene was falling short: place, education, and execution. With those three ingredients, you can build just about anything, including a technological tidal wave.

We’ve built, opened, and leased more than 60,000 square feet – six floors – three buildings of long-forgotten space in downtown Fresno. More than 200,000 square feet – eight floors – one rooftop amphitheater – 28 residential units – three buildings are currently underway. Each square foot inches us closer to a 2.5-million-square-foot technology campus that will house more than 1,000 companies, livelihoods, and solutions, not to mention 250,000 new tech jobs in Fresno. This is what we’d call place.

Thousands of people – students of all ages – have learned real-world technology skills via Geekwise Academy. Through this accelerated training program, more than 5,000 people have built websites, learned to code, developed apps, started companies, and created technology used across the Central Valley and around the world to solve problems. These people and companies make up the Bitwise community, where Fortune 500, local startup, and everything in between, geek out side by side. In other words, a whole lot of education.

Through Shift3 Technologies, we’ve built software that is making tangible advancements where it matters most. Tapping into Shift3’s expertise in custom software development, organizations are enabled to address some of the biggest issues facing our society and enact concrete change. By using our technology to focus on homelessness, recidivism, addiction and the like, we’re putting our money where the community is. So…execution.

What’s different though, and this is where things get really interesting, is that it’s not enough. All of that is not enough if the buildings, the apps, the patios, the classes, and the coffee shops are not built upon a culture of support and inclusion, of acceptance and heart, at their molecular level. Our hope is that you get the same warm, inspiring feeling no matter which building you walk into, that you always feel like the entirety of our community has got your back. If that’s not the case, then we haven’t created the best version of ourselves.
