The Granville Homes Tour de Fresno on September 19 was a fun bike ride that allowed riders to experience historic and cultural Fresno like never before.
Led by the Fresno Police Dept Bike Unit, bicyclists rode through Old Fresno and saw over 50 cultural and scenic highlights, including William Saroyan's birthplace and old neighborhood, Valley Lahvosh Bakery, the McClatchy and Wishon homes on Huntington Blvd and the shaded lanes of Old Fig Garden.
The event was co-sponsored by ATG-Bike for Hope and the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition. Other sponsors included Healthy Air Living (San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District), the Fresno Police Department, the Downtown Association of Fresno, the Fresno Cycling Club and the Fresno Convention & Visitor's Bureau.
A second annual Tour de Fresno is already being planned for next September.
