Fresno's Cultural Arts District is an emerging neighborhood that is home to a diverse community of major cultural organizations, artists studios and residences. The district is bordered by Tuolumne Street on the south, H Street on the west, and Divisadero on the north and east.
It is anchored by the Warnors Center for the Performing Arts, The Fresno Metropolitan Museum, Arte Americas, Valley Public Television, and the African American Museum, and the Broadway Studios / Cultural Arts Building.
The area is also home to a number of new downtown housing developments, including the Pearl Building, the Vagabond Lofts, the H Street Lofts, and the Fulton Plaza Project, which broke ground in Summer 2008. Many of these new apartments are live/work spaces, and cater to the community of artists who call the area home. The Cultural Arts District will also be home to the proposed new Fresno County Central Library.
