Downtown Fresno brings the world of professional sports to Fresno year round. The Fresno Grizzlies baseball club, the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, brings Pacific Coast League baseball to the 12,500 seat Chukchanski Park, situated right on the historic Fulton Mall. The stadium, which opened in 2002, is also home to the Fresno Fuego soccer team of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League. Selland Arena is also home to the Central Valley Coyotes of the af2 arena football league. New in 2009 is the exciting hockey action of the Fresno Monsters Hockey Team. Both Selland Arena and Chukchansi Park also play host to other sporting events, such as local & state high school sports, and more.
