The following city owned parking facilities are available for public parking in the downtown area. In addition to these lots and garages, there are also numerous privately owned facilities located throughout downtown for your parking convenience.
Parking Garage #4 is located at 1919 Tulare Street at the corner of Tulare and Fulton Mall. This is a 3 story garage with a total of 313 parking stalls including 7 disabled spaces. Monthly permits may be purchased for assigned stalls in Garage 4. Although frequented mostly by Fulton Mall customers, the lot usually fills to capacity during events at Chukchansi Park due to its close proximity to the stadium. Season Pass holders may use their pass at this garage.
Parking Garage #7, also known as the Spiral Garage, is located at 801 Van Ness Avenue at the corner of Van Ness and Inyo Avenues. This garage is unique in design, featuring separate spiral entrances and exits to avoid cross traffic. This allows for quick access whether coming or going. Monthly permits area available for this garage through Ace Parking. This garage features 4 levels and has 587 stalls with 15 disabled spaces. This garage supports the Fulton Mall and County Courthouse, and is favored by visitors of Chukchansi Park because of its location.
Garage 8 is located at 1077 Van Ness Avenue at the corner of Van Ness and Tulare Avenues. The garage is actually located UNDERGROUND and runs along several city blocks. This garage supports Club One Casino, the County Courthouse, the Holiday Inn Downtown Hotel, and the Fulton Mall. The entrance to the garage is located on Tulare Avenue just east of Van Ness on the north side of the street. An additional entrance is located on the north end of the garage off of Fresno Street. This garage features 968 parking stalls including 18 disabled spaces. Monthly permits are available for this location. Certain levels are restricted to those with permits only.
This garage is located at 2020 Merced Street at the corner of Van Ness and Merced Streets. This garage has a capacity for 213 vehicles. There are no disabled spaces in this garage but those with DP placards may park at the on-street meters in this area for no charge. Most users are business employees in the area who purchase monthly permits.
The New Convention Center Parking Structure features 5 levels and 1,565 parking spaces, including 8 motorcycle spaces and 26 disabled parking spaces. The facility supports the Federal Courthouse, the Saroyan Theater, the Convention Center, Exhibit Hall, and various downtown businesses in the area. Primary users such as Federal Courthouse employees will have access to monthly parking permits. Federal Jurors will also be able to use the structure AND receive validation for their parking through the Courthouse. One-time guests will have access to the NEW AUTOMATED "PAY ON FOOT" system. Here's how it works:
The "PAY ON FOOT" system has a significant environmental impact in that it prevents idling at the exit point to pay fees. It also decreases wait time to depart during peak hours. The credit card payment option is an added benefit for customers who do not often carry cash. Ace parking will have an attendant on site to assist customers with the new system, as well as to respond to courtesy calls. Courtesy boxes are located next to each elevator and stairwell to assist parking structure guests with questions or in the event of an emergency. Customers who drive City-approved hybrid vehicles will have free access to the lot via an electronic card available at no charge through the Parking Services office.
This public parking lot is located at Broadway and H Street. This lot has approximately 210 parking stalls including 10 disabled spaces and 1 motorcycle-dedicated stall. The County of Fresno is the highest volume user at this location but it is also available to visitors of the Fulton Mall. If permits are sold out or unavailable, customers will be placed on a wait list until a stall opens up.
This public parking lot is bound by Tulare Street on the north, Ventura Street on the south, R Street on the east, and the Santa Fe Railroad tracks to the west. The physical address is 2710 Tulare Street and this lot has 750 parking stalls, of which 14 are disabled spaces. The primary users of this lot are City of Fresno employees and City-owned vehicles. Future development in the warehouse area around R street will also utilize this lot for customer and employee parking. Daily and monthly parking is available.
The public lot referred to as the Stadium Lot is located on H Street between Kern Street and Inyo Street. This lot is about 50% occupied on weekdays by County of Fresno employees and jurors, and is a pick-up and drop-off point for the downtown trolley. The lot has 525 parking stalls, including 1 motorcycle stall and 12 disabled parking spaces. During Grizzlies baseball season, use of this lot is limited to season pass holders and the disabled during events. For all other stadium events, the standard $5 rate applies and the lot is available to the public.
The Boxcar lot is located at H and Tuolumne Streets on the west section of downtown Fresno. The lot has 525 parking stalls, of which 11 are for the disabled. This location is a pick-up and drop-off point for the downtown trolley. The primary lot users are the County of Fresno and employees of surrounding buildings such as the new IRS processing center. The Boxcar lot also accommodates overflow parking during Stadium events.
Lot 3 is a small lot between Fulton Mall and Mariposa Mall
consisting of 22 parking stalls. Parking in this lot is limited to
monthly
permit holders only, many of whom are mall employees or business owners. Permits may be purchased via Ace Parking, which is
located
a few blocks away at 2115 Kern Street. If permits are sold out or
unavailable, customers will be placed on a wait list until a
stall opens up.
Lot 6 is a small parking lot with 58 stalls located at the corner of Inyo Street and Fulton between the mall and Chukchansi Park. In late 2008, the lot was converted to parking meters to provide Fulton Mall customers more convenient short term parking. During baseball season, Lot 6 is reserved for Grizzlies players and staff. The lot is also available to Chukchansi Park staff during highly attended concerts and athletic events.
The Boxcar lot is located at H and Tuolumne Streets on the west section of downtown Fresno. The lot has 525 parking stalls, of which 11 are for the disabled.
