Fulton Mall Public Art Tour Aug 5th

The Downtown Association of Fresno will host a free guided tour of the Fulton Mall's renowned collection of publicly owned art as part of Art Hop, Thursday August 5th at 7:00 PM.

Celebrity chef makes Market On the Mall appearance

Movies In the Park return to Eaton Plaza

The City of Fresno and Comcast present the 2009 edition of Comcast Movies in the Park, at Eaton Plaza in Downtown Fresno. This free event runs every Friday night from June thru September at Eaton Plaza, near the historic Fresno Water Tower at Fresno and "N" Street. The movies start at dusk, and the movie AND parking are free!

Downtown Fresno's dining options keep growing, just this spring adding Kebab Express, Fresno's Newsroom Cafe, and Teazer's World Tea Market to the dining options on Kern Street.

Bicycles on Fulton Mall

Bicycle traffic is now legal on Fulton Mall and the adjoining pedestrian malls. The Downtown Association, the Downtown Bike Unit of the Fresno Police Department and the City PARCS staff has created guidelines in the interest of safety of bicyclists and pedestrians alike.

City of Fresno Historic Preservation Awards

Efforts at preserving portions of Downtown Fresno's historic fabric were recognized this December by the Fresno City Council with the City's annual historic preservation awards. Of the ten projects, groups and individuals honored, all but two represent properties in the Downtown triangle.

Fresno Monsters bring hockey back to Fresno

The Fresno Monsters Hockey Team is bringing the excitement of ice hockey back to Downtown Fresno's Selland Arena in 2009 with an action packed season, beginning Saturday September 19th with a game against Bakersfield. The Monsters are a member of theWestern States Hockey League, a junior league consiting of players between 17 and 20 years old. South Stadium Project EIR released

The environmental impact report for the proposed South Stadium Project has been released by developer Forest City. The document details impacts of the project on air quality, traffic, historic resources and more.

Bob the Builder comes to the Fresno Met

The Fresno Metropolitan Museum presents an exhibition just for youngsters, Bob the Builder-Project: Build It! is based on the popular children’s television program, Bob the Builder. The exhibition runs from June 20th thru September 27th at the Fresno Metropolitan Museum.
