Chinatown Revitalization Inc presents the 2009 Chinese New Year Parade, Saturday February 14th in Downtown Fresno's historic Chinatown. 2009 is the Year of the Ox, which is a sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. The parade begins at noon, behind Fire Station #3 on Mariposa and F Street. In addition to a number of local civic groups and traditional Chinese groups, there will also be vendors plus a childrens carnival area. Activities start at 11:00 AM and will run till 3:00 PM.
