Inyo-Tulare Block Meeting Well-Attended

Kicking off a series of four block meetings along Fulton Mall, the Inyo-Tulare meeting was held on June 24. About 50 business owners gathered at Gordo Roadhouse to discuss parking issues and learn about the relaunch of the Downtown Parking Validation program sponsored by the Downtown Association of Fresno.

Participating merchants purchase parking validation books containing 100 1-hour stickers. They use materials developed by the Downtown Association to promote this benefit for their customers: Downtown Parking can be free and easy. Included is a point-of-sale display and buttons for employees. A marketing campaign will advertise the individual businesses that offer parking stickers.

Four meetings for Fulton Mall businesses are scheduled:

Inyo-Tulare: June 24, 5:30 p.m., Gordo Roadhouse

Tulare-Mariposa: July 1, 8:30 a.m., Los Panchos

Mariposa-Fresno: July 8, 5:30 p.m., Holiday Inn Cafe 1055

Fresno-Tuolumne: July 15, 2:00 p.m., Rose Cafe courtyard

Also presented was information about the City of Fresno's Parking Meter Card. This is a pre-paid card similar to a credit card that can be used in all City parking meters. They're available at the Parking Services Counter located on the fourth floor of City Hall. Click for more information.

Business Services Trade Show

Following the series of meetings, business owners and managers can attend the first Downtown Business Services Trade Show scheduled for early November.
