The Downtown Association of Fresno is a private, nonprofit membership organization founded in 1955, and dedicated to the revitalization of the historic Central Business District in Downtown Fresno.

Whom We Serve

The Downtown Association of Fresno serves the City of Fresno, the business community, Fulton Mall and other Downtown merchants, public and private agencies, and the community at large through leadership, partnership and advocacy.  We’re here to serve you!

What We Do

The Downtown Association is leading Downtown Fresno toward its future as a vibrant, 24-hour hub of business activity by promoting Downtown's image, supporting physical improvements and development, advocating for merchants, and hosting special events that bring new life to the historic core of our city.  We’re always happy to tell you more about the many projects on which our committees are working.

Much, though not all, of the Association’s activity is focused in and around the Central Business District (CBD) and the historic Fulton Mall, a six-block pedestrian mall. Every year the Downtown Association produces major events, such as Cinco de Mayo and Sudz in the City, drawing hundreds of thousands of participants from across the state to enjoy everything that Downtown Fresno has to offer.

What We Need From You

Anyone and everyone with a passion for Downtown can contribute something to the Downtown Association of Fresno’s efforts.

Your financial support is needed to sustain the many activities described above. Membership for individuals starts at just $25, and all membership levels provide rewarding benefits in return.  It’s easy to join the Downtown Association. We also rely on the support of corporate sponsors and individual attendees at the Downtown events we host all year long.  More information about these events is available on this website or by calling the Downtown Association office.

Your volunteer support is the backbone of our community’s ability to improve the Downtown area. Without volunteers willing to lend their passion and just a handful of hours per month, very little would be happening. And there is so much more ready to be done, but for the want of your volunteer help.  Find out which if our four committees is the right place for you to direct your energies, then find out when committees meet each month. Show up and join the fun!

Your board service is another way to contribute to our organization and the forward momentum we seek to build in Downtown Fresno. The board of the Downtown Association represents a diverse cross-section of the community united in its passion for a revitalized Downtown.
